Interview with Emmie + Diary of a Daydreamer launch tour and giveaway

Hello, world! How’s your summer so far?

I have already done so much this summer, and it’s only early July!

My busy summer has included a trip to Walt Disney World , a weekend in Savannah, Georgia, and a two week long dance intensive that left me wanting to stab my pointe shoes with a knife and then burn them.

Okay, that’s enough of that. Now onto the important stuff…

My blogger buddy Emmie has just launched her new lifestyle blog, Diary of a Daydreamer!

Not only that, but she’s hosting a giveaway, too!

Click here to enter this spectacular giveaway.

About Emmie: You can usually find her creating something – writing, drawing, blogging, designing, filming, singing, songwriting, or dancing. She loves helping people find their inner creative and spreading positivity and kindness. She believes that everyone has a story to tell – you have a voice that needs to be heard! With her new blog Diary of a Daydreamer, she hopes to encourage and inspire creativity.

About Diary of a Daydreamer: At Diary of a Daydreamer, Emmie shares her ideas, stories, tips, tutorials, lifestyle, songs, creations, and daydreams. On this blog, every Saturday you’ll find posts about blogging, dance, fashion, music, lifestyle, writing, and art!

Bekah: How long have you been blogging?

Emmie: I started my first blog, American Girl World, when I was nine in December 2017. So, that means for about 2 and a half years? Wow, it’s kind of crazy to think I’ve been blogging for so long! Honestly, I have no idea what I’d be doing without blogging in my life. I know that’s cliche, but it’s insanely true!

Bekah: What about your new blog are you most excited for?

Emmie: I’m super excited about basically everything – the design, aesthetic, name, ideas – but if I had to pick one thing, it would be the topic! I’m super excited about having a personal/lifestyle blog where I can post about my life, adventures, dreams, thoughts, ideas, and creativity. I love the lifestyle blog genre because the possibilities are limitless, and that gives me so much freedom as to what I can post about!

Bekah: What’s your favorite color?

Emmie: Ooh, this is a hard one! I think my absolute favorite color is blush pink – I just love how soft and trendy and feminine it looks! I also love light teal (it’s the color of my room), and gold is a close third.

Bekah: Besides blogging, what are your hobbies?

Emmie: I have so many hobbies! Probably my main ones are writing (I’ve written a couple books, am part of the Young Writer’s Workshop, participate in Camp NaNo and NaNoWriMo, and am currently working on my WIP!), dancing (I’m training to get my pointe shoes, and I’m so excited! I also do contemporary dance along with ballet. This summer I’m taking 5 1/2 hours of dance a week – it’s a lot but I love it so much!). I’m also really into art, photography, poetry, and songwriting!

Bekah: What’s your favorite blog post you’ve written?

Emmie: Ooh, this is a super hard one! I’m thinking for American Girl World my favorite might actually be a post that hasn’t been published yet! It’s the next installment of my Camp Pineapple series and it’s about the dolls going on a ropes course. I’m super proud of how the photos have turned out so far – I got to use my little sister’s actual mini ropes course and got to do some cool background swapping in editing to make it look like they’re in the woods! If stop motions from my YouTube channel count as a post, then my favorite has to be my big Christmas stop motion movie. It took hours upon hours to create this thing, and I sacrificed a lot to make it happen, and I’m so proud of how it turned out! You can watch it here.

Bekah: Can you make an acronym out of your own name?

Emmie: I don’t use my real name to blog, but my actual initials are a real acronym! Kinda wish I could share that here but that would give my real name away, haha.

Bekah: What’s something you’re super passionate about?

Emmie: I’m super passionate about Type One Diabetes. It’s an autoimmune disorder where your body doesn’t make enough of a hormone called insulin, and insulin is vital to manage your blood sugar and keep you alive and healthy. People like me with Type One have to take a medicine version of insulin, and we have to manage our blood sugar and count carbs. I’m always explaining this disease, correcting people who think it’s Type Two Diabetes, and trying to raise money for a cure!

Bekah: Do you have a favorite music artist?

Emmie: Ooh, this is a hard one! I can’t pick just one! I’d have to say my top three are Taylor Swift (I love her song Me!), The Jonas Brothers (I’m playing their new album on repeat), and Mackenzie Ziegler (Not only is she a great inspiration, she’s an incredible singer and songwriter!)

Bekah: Do you like pineapple on pizza?

Emmie: Duh! I don’t understand why some people think pineapple on pizza is gross, it’s amazing! I love pairing pineapple with sausage or pepperoni, it balances it out perfectly!

Bekah: If the whole world were listening, what would you say?

Emmie: I would read John 3:16 and share the good news! ❤️
