5 Things American Girl Could Do To Make Their Brand A Lot Better

WARNING: IF YOU ARE A SENSITIVE DOLL LOVER, I SUGGEST YOU LEAVE NOW.

But if ya could lighten up and laugh a bit, I think you’re gonna love this post. πŸ˜‰

Ahh, American Girl Dolls. Next to Barbies, I love to play with these dolls.

They’re pretty great! Well, for the most part.

Here are 5 things that American Girl Could Do To Make Their Brand A Lot Better:

1. Stop Making Everything So Darn Expensive

“Why yes, I’d LOVE to spend $150 on a doll with a slightly creepy facial expression!” – said no parent ever.

2. More Diversity

Really? It took them until 2017 to make an African American GOTY? Really?

3. Clothing Sizes

Ya know how cute it is to match your doll’s outfit? Yeah, me neither. Why? Because ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!! Children grow differently, so please expand the sizes.

4. Expand Their Collection Of Boy Dolls

My dolls have waited all these freaking years to get a boyfriend, and now people are BOYCOTTING the male dolls? WHAT THE LITERAL HECK?? American Girl, do me a favor and continue making male dolls. They’re actually really cool!

5. Make Their Characters Realistic

Girls these days aren’t hopping over to Paris or swimming with dolphins on a daily basis, they’re dealing with something called REAL LIFE.

And another thing! I’ve never met a person named Tenney or Z. I’m sorry, but those are the WORST NAMES EVER. Tenney? C’mon. Nobody in their right mind is going to give their doll such a terrible name.

This concludes my little rant. I hope you enjoyed!

I shall see you all on Friday! I’ve got something very, very special planned. πŸ˜‹

  1. I think Tenny and Z are very cute names, thats why they named them that, Cute would be the main line for American Girl brands. Now, sure, AG Boy dolls are very nice, I kinda changed my mind about the whole thing, but, I wouldn’t use them as boyfriends though.

    Just my thoughts. πŸ˜‰

    1. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Just something to keep in mind – this blog is more satirical than serious. πŸ˜‰No need to get worked up about anything in the comments.

  2. Hahahahaha the expensive and boyfriend comments killed me. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I don’t have American Girl dolls because I’m totally paranoid from The Boy and Anabelle haha πŸ˜‚

  3. Umm… here is a rebuttal: 1) It’s so expensive because it lasts a long time (a friend inherited her grandma’s Molly doll) 4) It’s called American GIRL, not American Doll… 5) They are realistic…Z came from a Youtube series and they kept the name.

  4. I totally agree with you on these. I love my AG dolls but they are so expensive.. I don’t like the name Tenney either it makes no sense to me. I loved when they had Gabriella, Isabella, and McKenna those were actually cute names that someone might name there kid. πŸ˜‚ Great post. πŸ˜‰

  5. Gee! Thank you! What a hate filled comment. Who are you to call my posts “hate filled”? Perhaps my next blog should be about online bullies like yourself, who like to throw ridiculous, hurtful comments out there, but are too much of a coward to let me know their real name. Thanks again, A Reader. Maybe it is you who should get a life.
