10 Things People Always Assume About Homeschoolers

Hello, world! Merry Christmas Eve!

Due to some recent confrontations with ignorant adults, I would like to vent share some things that are ALWAYS assumed when I tell people I’m a homeschooler.

10 Things People Always Assume About Homeschoolers

1.) We aren’t socialized

2.) We have no friends

3.) We use a paddle for punishments (what is this? The 1800’s?!)

4.) When you’re homeschooled, you have to treat it exactly. Like. Public. School.

5.) You don’t know how to navigate large crowds (what the HECK is that supposed to mean?!)

6.) We don’t know how to solve real world problems

7.) We’re smarter than everyone (can’t argue with that) 😏

8.) In our free time, we reflect on bible stories, crochet, and write poems about birds

9.) We don’t know how to talk to people

10.) We all live in farmhouses and have a “curfew” (what?)

• Are you a homeschooler?
