DIY Rey costume!

Cue the imperial march!

Yes, I’m aware that my unintentional awesomeness may be too much to comprehend at times….

But, fear not! Actually, you should probably be afraid. I’m about to get even awesomer….

As you all know, the reason I started this blog is because I wanted to show fashion tutorials and ootd’s. But, I have thrown in a couple random topics. Such as, quotes and omelettes.

In a recent post, which you can read here, I talked about my homemade Halloween costume. Enni, you guessed it!

I am going to be the absolutely awesome Rey! (The force awakens)

Ha! I am quite proud of my self. Considering the fact that I thought I couldn’t do it.That’s right! And you can, too! (With this simple tutorial)

The actual costume:My version:Believe it or not, the staff was NOT the hardest part! Choosing which outfit to imitate was the hard part….This..Or this?

Gahhh! It was a tough decision, believe me.

For the staff: I used a shower curtain rod, and covered it in grey, burgundy, and tan fabrics.Btw, I recommend definitely using a shower curtain rod, because of the grips. For the hair: I did three little buns going down my head. It’s easier than it looks.

For the vest: I up-cycled a vest from Cato. I also added a cool rebel patch/sticker that I got in Hollywood Studios.

I also used: An old white tank from Ann Taylor Loft, some grey knit capris from Connections 18, and the boots are from earth spirit. (Sold at Wal-mart)

Sorry for the long post! Here’s a vader tater…..

I hope you enjoyed this post!
